Ms. Hicks

​​Stephanie Hicks is in her fifth year as the head director at Spring High School and her 25th year of teaching. Stephanie is the primary director of Chorale, Chorale Men, Chorale Women, Chamber Choir and Concert Men.  Stephanie graduated with a Master of Music Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She taught choir for 5 years in Oklahoma and then spent 15 years as the head choir director at Crownover Middle School in Denton, TX.  Over the years, Stephanie's choirs have consistently earned UIL Sweepstakes and Overall Outstanding awards. She has had the privilege of judging UIL contests and accompanying for many UIL competitions, TCDA reading sessions, MS/HS All-Region concerts, and musical performances. She also serves as  church pianist at Spring Woods UMC in Houston. Stephanie is a member of TMEA, TCDA, ACDA and TMAA.


​Ms. Melancon

Jessica Melancon is in her second year as the assistant choir director at Spring High School as well as her 2nd year of teaching. Jess is the primary director of the Concert Women, Bella Voce, and A Cappella Choirs.  In Fall 2019, Jess graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University - Kingsville  with a bachelor’s degree in music education. At TAMUK, she was a section leader in the school’s top chamber ensemble, was active in student-led ensembles, and sang multiple roles with the TAMUK Opera Workshop. Jess has served as president of the TAMUK choir, president of Sigma Alpha Iota, and vice president of Tau Beta Sigma. In 2018, Ms. Melancon was selected to be a part of the ACDA National Collegiate Honor Choir. Jess is a member of  TMEA, TCDA and ACDA.
